Sliding Scale Self-Assessment*

*this only applies to our 1:1 coaching subscriptions

Our goal is to make high-quality, individualized coaching accessible while maintaining a sustainable practice. This sliding scale is designed to help you reflect on what payment amount feels appropriate for your current financial situation.

You’re invited to select a rate between 50% and 100% of the listed session rate based on your circumstances. If you feel your circumstances fall between categories, feel free to choose a percentage in-between.

100% of Listed Rate

This rate sustains our practice, supports ongoing professional education, and allows us to offer reduced-rate sessions to others.

You may fall into this range if you:

  • Consistently meet your basic needs (housing, food, healthcare, transportation) without significant stress

  • Have stable income and can save for future goals or travel

  • Have access to financial support or generational wealth

  • Can comfortably spend on leisure, dining out, or non-essential purchases

75% of Listed Rate

This rate helps cover practice costs and expands access for others.

You may fall into this range if you:

  • Can meet basic needs but with some financial trade-offs

  • Have moderate student loans, medical expenses, or caregiving costs

  • Have variable income (e.g., self-employed, contract work) but relative stability overall

  • Have limited savings or a smaller financial safety net

50% of Listed Rate

This rate is for those who would not be able to access coaching without financial accommodation.

You may fall into this range if you:

  • Often worry about meeting basic needs like rent, food, or medical bills

  • Have unstable or underpaid work, or are currently unemployed

  • Carry significant debt or ongoing medical expenses

  • Are part of a community facing systemic financial barriers (e.g., racism, ableism, transphobia)

Reflection Questions

Consider the following as you decide where you fit best right now:

  • Do I have consistent access to food, housing, and healthcare without stress?

  • How much of my income goes toward basic needs versus savings or leisure?

  • Do I have financial support available from family, a partner, or community if needed?

  • Do I have significant debt, caregiving, or medical expenses?

  • Could I pay the full rate as a way to help make care accessible to others?

How to Choose Your Rate

You can select your payment rate. No justification is required. If your financial situation changes, you’re always welcome to adjust your rate up or down at any time.

Our aim is for everyone to access care in a way that feels sustainable, respectful, and aligned with their current reality.
